Sydney Theatre

In the heart of Sydney’s newly developed Walsh Bay precinct, Sydney Theatre is a state-of-the-art new home for the best Australian and international drama and dance. The theatre comprises an impressive 850-seat auditorium with outstanding technical capabilities as well as a sprung-floor rehearsal studio.

Incorporating the lower floors of Parbury’s No.3 Bond Store, the theatre combines many of the original features of the historic brick and stone warehouses with striking zinc, steel, glass and marble to create a uniquely appealing aesthetic and functional space.

Sydney Theatre is managed and operated by Sydney Theatre Company who present up to four productions at the theatre annually. Throughout the remainder of the year, the theatre is available for hire by Australia’s leading dance and drama companies as well as key international groups to create a diverse program of high quality performance under the curatorial direction of Sydney Theatre Company.
