Live Performance Australia (formerly known as Australian Entertainment Industry Association) is the peak body for live entertainment and the performing arts industry in Australia. Established in 1917, LPA is a not-for-profit organisation committed to the future of the industry.

Our membership includes venues and arenas; producers and promoters of theatre, opera, ballet, music and comedy; orchestras; circuses; crewing, sound and lighting service providers; ticketing companies and festivals.

LPA assists performing arts centres by:

• Providing expert industrial advice and representation tailored to the particular needs of the industry, including industrial awards, enterprise bargaining agreements and matters before the Australian Industrial Relations Commission.

• Developing industry guidelines and policies on issues such as ticketing, companion card and discrimination, privacy and occupational health and safety.

• Facilitating tours by local and international artists by providing business services in areas such as contracts, production, immigration and finance.

• Actively participating in the debate and policy formulation for industry issues such as training, trade practices, copyright, superannuation, taxation and industry promotion.
