About
Since the inception of STARplex in 2000, the STARplex Theatre has grown extraordinarily into the Hewitson Theatre – STARplex, as you see it today. In 2007 a new state-of-the-art sound system (from EAW and Powersoft) was installed, which was custom-designed using EASE modelling for coverage, and precision, with future upgrades and control options in mind. This upgrade has allowed the Theatre to continue as a quality venue for the Gawler and surrounding community.
Hewitson Theatre - STARplex is a large, multi-purpose 1200 seat capacity facility with air-conditioning, Proscenium-arch stage and dressing rooms. With the flexible seating arrangement, a wide range of productions, functions and conferences can be accommodated. These include:
