Hamilton Performing Arts Centre

Hamilton Performing Arts Centre is the outcome of an extensive refurbishment to the original town Hall in 1992. The building still retains its prominent position and role – it is centrally located, has a high profile and is extensively used by the community for a wide range of activities as well as performing arts.

The main auditorium has fixed, tiered seating for 500 patrons, a level stage with proscenium arch and a counterweight flying system. The stage is 9m wide by 10m deep, suitable for plays, symphony orchestras, smaller scale dance performances and a variety of other shows. For more intimate shows such as cabaret, theatre-restaurant and smaller concerts, the Stage itself is a more suitable setting for up to 110 patrons.

The centre presents an annual arts program of approximately 60 performances and is available for hire.
