Glen Street Theatre

Glen Street Theatre is a multi purpose venue located on Sydney's North Shore, a half hour drive from the centre of Sydney. In 2010 the theatre has support form  4000 subscribers. Glen Street Theatre’s yearly subscription season provides local audiences with works from Australia’s foremost theatre companies, leading directors and best loved actors. As well as the subscription season of up to nine professional productions each year, the theatre produces a  quality children’s theatre program called kidsplay, and alsdo programs regular morning concerts for seniors and literary lunches.The venue  is available to local schools, community groups and theatrical producers for outside hire.

The theatre has three performance areas, two bars, a comfortable auditorium and a fully licensed restaurant.

The 400-seat auditorium is a professional, user-friendly space, with a raked, fan-shaped seating plan. It includes an orchestra pit, which can be covered to provide a thrust stage. Comfortable seating and uninterrupted sight lines means every seat is a good seat.

The theatre also has disabled access in both the main theatre and in Sorlies, and hearing loop in the main theatre only.For all our subscription season plays we captiobn two performances per season for hearing impaired patrons.
