Don Russell Performing Arts Centre

Don Russell Performing Arts Centre opened its doors in March 1994 to promote cultural appreciation and practice in the City of Gosnells. This purpose-built facility provides a unique and affordable theatre and dance studio for local performing arts groups, community cultural groups and professional performing arts companies, alike.

It has a classic proscenium arch style theatre with all of the comforts expected in any professional theatrical space. The auditorium is fitted with cushioned raked seating for up to 210 patrons and features professional theatre sound and lighting systems. The Stage area is 7.5m wide and up to 7.44m deep. Height (to grid) 4.5m. The backstage area includes a large Green Room with full amenities, separate wardrobe and a drive-in loading bay.

Its Dance Studio is a 7.5m x 11.5m, complete with a sprung wooden floor, full-length mirrors and fixed ballet bars.

The spacious kitchen includes a commercial fridge, an electric oven, cups and saucers, instant hot water and plenty of bench space.
