About
Deckchair Theatre performs contemporary Australian text based theatre in our home venue of Victoria Hall, Fremantle. Deckchair promotes risk-taking in the arts, creating brave and original new work of the highest quality.
In addition to this core work, Deckchair Theatre provides an avenue for emerging artsists and independent theatre organisations to hone their skills with a professional theatre company through our Emerging Artist and Umbrella programs.
When Deckchair Theatre is not in production, Victoria Hall is available for hire. Victoria Hall has a proscenium arch, raked stage and automated curtain. Blacks are available for the sides and back of the stage.
Victoria Hall can be configured for productions on the floor with tiered seating in for 50-150 patrons. Victoria Hall can seat 200 in cabaret setting or 250 in theatre setting using the stage. Standard basic lighting and sound are available. Victoria Hall has an intimate bar attached.
