Carnarvon Civic Centre

The Carnarvon Civic Centre is a multi purpose entertainment venue that can cater for live performances, cinema, large functions, exhibitions and conferences. The centre features the fully equipped Camel Lane Theatre and the multi purpose 'Woolshed' hall.

The Camel Lane Theatre is a fully equipped proscenium arch theatre that seats 354 people. The auditorium is raked which ensures perfect vision from all seats and can cater for both large musicals or small intimate productions. The venue is suitable for theatre, large scale musicals, rock concerts, orchestras, bands and dance - both ballet and contemporary. The space is also suited for public meetings, press conferences and product launches. The Theatre boasts a 12 metre proscenium arch and spacious backstage area and is also 35mm cinema equipped.

The ''Woolshed' hall is an ideal space for rock concerts and bands, exhibitions, cabarets and balls. The hall accommodates up to 479 people and offers two adjoining Courtyard areas which can be used for BBQ's or separate smaller functions. The Woolshed is equipped with kitchen and bar facilities with accompanying servery areas. The hall has a small stage area, plus a de-mountable stage which increases its size considerably. Additionally, lighting bars and patch points have recently been installed, allowing the hall to be used for audience participative and educational theatre productions.

Between the Theatre and the hall is a versatile Courtyard area, just perfect for craft days and outdoor performances. Similarly, the facade area at the front of the Centre presents an ideal space for outdoor performances and displays.
