Burdekin Cultural Complex

The Burdekin Theatre is situated in the Burdekin Shire’s town of Ayr, one hour’s drive south from Townsville.

Our modern Theatre is fully equipped and seats 494 patrons in the raked auditorium.

The Starlight Foyer is a popular area for events ranging from live performance, meetings and dinner functions. The "picture gallery of stars" is always of interest to our visitors while they enjoy a drink from our extensively stocked bar.

The Music Loft offers hirers many options with its own kitchen and bar area for light catering and an attractive covered deck popular for enjoying refreshments during seminars or concerts.

The Plaza Forecourt graces the front of the Theatre entrance and is the area of choice to hold outside events. 250 people can comfortably be entertained and catered to under the stars. The Burdekin Theatre Complex is the cultural hub of the Burdekin, richly used by the community who have enjoyed attending local performances and touring shows alike for the past 21 years.
